Protorae Law PLLC is pleased to announce the addition of Michael E. Stamp as Senior Counsel and Brittany V. Ruyak as Staff Attorney.
Mr. Stamp joins the firm’s Business Litigation, Unfair Business Practices, and Employment Law practice teams. Mr. Stamp is a commercial litigator who represents businesses in breach of contract actions, commercial disputes, and business tort cases. He has successfully represented Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes, bet-the-company litigation. “Michael’s experience will be a tremendous asset to our clients and deepens the firm’s bench strength in litigation,” said co-founding member James B. Kinsel.
Before joining Protorae Law, Mr. Stamp practiced for many years at O’Melveny & Myers, in Washington, DC, as well as at a regional law firm in Virginia. Prior to entering private practice, he served as law clerk to the Honorable R. Barclay Surrick in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Stamp received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Minnesota, where he graduated cum laude.
Ms. Ruyak will support the firm’s Business Litigation, Unfair Business Practices, and Business Breakups practice teams. She conducts legal research on a wide variety of issues for clients involved in litigation and arbitration, in addition to assisting with discovery and deposition preparation.
Prior to joining the firm Ms. Ruyak served as a law clerk for the Office of Attorney General of Maryland.
Ms. Ruyak received her law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law and her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
