Protorae Law PLLC is pleased to announce the addition of counsel Benjamin L. Kacher to its Government Contracts practice and associate Brian M. Wotring to its Business Litigation practice.

As a member of the Government Contracts and Business Transactions practices, Ben Kacher represents government contractors in a broad range of matters. Ben has advised clients extensively on all aspects of contracting with the United States Government. Having gained experience in roles with the government, in-house, and as outside counsel, Ben offers a unique and well-rounded perspective into government contracts matters. Before joining Protorae Law, Ben worked as lead counsel for BAE Systems’ ordnance systems business unit. Prior to working in house, Ben worked for both the United Department of Defense and Navy, assigned to the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program in Arlington, Virginia. Ben earned an LL.M. in Government Procurement Law from the George Washington University Law School and his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law.

As a litigator, Brian Wotring represents sophisticated clients through discovery, motions practice, settlement negotiations, and trial. Before joining Protorae Law, Brian clerked for the Honorable Charles S. Russell of the Supreme Court of Virginia, where he assisted the Justice with resolving complex legal issues on appeal. Prior to clerking at the Supreme Court, he clerked for the Honorable Charles E. Poston and the Honorable John R. Doyle of the Norfolk Circuit Court in Virginia.  Brian received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law. Brian is also a veteran of the United States Army with decorated service in Iraq.
