Litigation Attorney

Protorae Law PLLC is looking to add an experienced attorney to its litigation team. Candidates should have at least 6 years of complex litigation experience with deep knowledge of civil procedure law, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with demonstrated motivation. Active Virginia Bar Membership is required. The firm provides significant responsibilities to its attorneys and is looking to add attorneys who are comfortable with the court and client demands inherent in litigation.

Protorae Law is a business law firm based in Tysons, Virginia. The firm regularly handles sophisticated transactional and litigation matters with many of its attorneys having previously worked in various AmLaw 200 firms. Protorae Law has a hard working, but collegial environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience handling complex litigation, including experience drafting sophisticated court-filed legal memoranda, arguing motions and handling evidentiary hearings as well as settlement negotiations;

  • Dynamic leadership skills and strong work ethic, with an interest in building and expanding a practice in a team-oriented environment; and

Government Contracts Attorney

Protorae Law PLLC is looking to add an attorney to its Government Contracts practice.  Candidates need to have experience in preparing bid protests and counseling government contractors on transactional matters.  Candidates need to have a portable book of business (no minimum threshold), which should grow with the firm’s investment in marketing.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Substantive government contract experience;
  • Strategic problem solver with a pragmatic approach to business issues;
  • Comfortable providing advice to business owners and executives in complicated and critical decisions;
  • Dynamic leader and hard worker interested in building and expanding a practice in a team-oriented environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a close-knit environment; and
  • Active Virginia Bar Membership or ability to waive into Virginia.
